Here in NYC, one feels very strongly the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas as a season that commemorates, recognizes, and celebrates children. I’m taken back to my own childhood memories of outings with my Grandpa Ira around Manhattan – ice skating at Rockefeller Center; seeing the Fifth Avenue shop windows; hot chocolate at a Horn & Hardart automat. I’ve been enjoying rides and walks with kids all week; the other day, out with a group of Girl Scouts from Phoenix, AZ, we had a fun encounter with NBC’s Joelle Garguilo on 57th Street.
